Our classroom is comprised of students from a diverse and special blend of families, each one unique. In room 8, we choose to recognize and celebrate the special people that make up our different families. For this reason, we do not celebrate Mother's Day and Father's Day as individual holidays in our classroom. We leave it to families to acknowledge these holidays in their home as they see fit. We will be recognizing the important people in our lives with a special "family" gift, which will be lovingly created sometime in late May.
