Today Mr. Solomon came to the classroom. He taught about talking sticks. He brought his own big talking stick. We got to make a classroom talking stick. First, we picked two beads and put them on a ribbon. Then we picked our own favourite colour of feather. Mr. Solomon tied our ribbons onto the stick. We put our name on the stick.
A talking stick is something you hold when it is your turn to talk. Everyone else should be listening.
Maddy said, "It was fun making it!"
Regan said, "They are usually small."
Aidan said, "Mr. Solomon taught us that talking sticks don't actually talk!"
Fantastic!
ReplyDeleteWell done Grade 1.
I think I have to make a Talking Stick for Sunday School too.
Thanks a bunch Mrs Turner & Ms Jensen for sharing this activity.
