Choice Time
We love to use our imaginations at Choice Time. We work together, share and take turns.
This is a mega ring dragon. It took a vey long time and lots of pieces to make it. (Drayson, Carl and Mathew).
I made a big tower out of Marble Works. You pour the marbles in and they all come down. It is so tall that Mrs. Harms has to hold it up while I pour the marbles in. (Avery)
We are playing with playdoh. We made people and food. It was fun squishing the playdoh. (Nikolai, Xander, Gabriel and Brody)
We were having a picnic. It was fun. We were buying books with the play money.
(Cara, Cameron, Ashley and Rhianna)
We were pretending to play Star Wars. We were using our imaginations and had pretend lightsabers.
(Landen and Tristan)

We are Scientists!
Our class just completed our theme on the 5 senses. We got to do many experiments to find out interesting information about our senses. Ashley liked mapping our tongues and finding out where we taste sour, sweet, bitter and salty! Carl liked that experiment as well. Mathew liked trying to guess the different smells through the balloons! Rhianna liked trying to figure out if we could identify different sounds without seeing what was making the sound. Landen said he liked all of the experiments! We had a lot of fun learning about the senses!

100 Day
On Friday, we celebrated 100 days of learning and growing! The children participated in learning activities across the curriculum connected to the number 100. They licked a lollipop 100 times, made a pattern with 100 cubes, took a walk of 100 steps, wrote 100 words, made 100 day glasses and so much more. Here are a few pictures of our celebration.

Animals in Winter
We have been learning what Manitoba animals do in the winter. We know that some animals hibernate, some torpor, some migrate and others adapt and stay active during the winter. We did Centers about animals in winter and together we created a mural.
Today we had someone come to our class from the Living Prairie Museum. She talked to us about animals in winter, showed us animal tracks, animal furs and some great puppets!
